Chris Moneymaker is through to the semifinals. On the final hand of his match against David Oppenheim, the two players made it to the turn of a board.
Moneymaker bet 34,000. Oppenheim raised all in; Moneymaker called.
"I'm in trouble," Moneymaker announced as he turned up . It wasn't as bad as Moneymaker feared.
Oppenheim tabled for two pairs.
Moneymaker could still win the hand, and the match, with any trey, queen, eight or club.
The river filled Moneymaker's flush draw and sent "Opie" to the rail.


With the blinds moving inexorably upwards, Jonathan Duhamel was able to take over the chip lead from Olivier Busquet.

Busquet was at risk but had the best hand pre-flop and after a flop of
The turn , however, was unlucky for Busquet. It paired Duhamel and left Busquet looking for a queen or an ace on the river.
No such luck this time; the river fell to eliminate Busquet. He gets $75,000; Duhamel gets Chris Moneymaker in the semifinals.

David Benyamine just dragged a sizable pot against Andrew Robl to bring their stacks close to level, although it appears Robl still has a small lead.

Plus rien de semble pouvoir arrêter Erik Seidel qui a déjà gagné en 2011 plus de $4 millions en tournoi.
Erik Seidel avec cette victoire lors du National Heads Up Championship passe donc en tête du classement des joueurs ayant gagné le plus en tournoi avec plus de $14,5 millions.

Après avoir terminé second l'année dernière face à Annie Duke, il élimine cette fois ci Chris Moneymaker en finale pour s'adjuger le titre. Il n'aura fallu à Seidel que 2 heads up contre Moneymaker pour en arriver à bout.

Moneymaker déclarera qu'il a tout essayé : bluff, check raise, piège, mais rien à faire Seidel était imbattable.

De son côté Seidel sur le ton de la plaisanterie avouera : J'ai pris un coach début janvier pour m'apprendre à gagner. Il vient de perdre son travail dans une série TV, 2 and a half men (Mon oncle Charlie). C'est à peu près tout. C'est tout ce que j'ai changé.
